The other thing I've thought about a lot lately is whether I'd tell 15-year-old me "Don't move to Texas, stay in New York"

I almost did stay in NY, in fact, but finally decided to go with my family to Texas. A lot happened in Texas to shape me. Some of it only happened because I was in Texas, some of it could (would?) have happened regardless. I've said for years that moving to Texas was good for me but now...I wonder.
It's of course unknowable. Maybe I would have become a millionaire if I stayed din NY. Maybe I would have died at 19.
