oh, i'm not disagreeing. i am just saying (and i am not saying it's right) a studio is 'protecting their investment'

so, if they are afraid that Bobby-Sue in Arkansas will stop wanting to see, say, a Tom Cruise movie if they find out he's gay, for whatever reason, then they won't want Bobby-Sue to find out.
Again, i don't like this, and the fact that the majority of US states still bans gay marriage is shocking to me (been legal here for a long time), but, it's an economic reality. Society has to change before the movie industry will (movie executives have one job - make a profitable film).
