societal norms ARE changing, tho, they're just slow to roll with them and it's also a slow process. My point is that that attitude is wrong, and they should look at it as....each person can and should make their own choices. There are lots of people who won't see a Tom Cruise movie because of Scientology. Lots of people who won't see Clooney because of his politics. Studios don't bother to cover up those aspects of their stars' personalities or lifestyles. Being gay is no different.
