that last line is spot-on, imo. "the voice" while flawed, had more back-up-able star power.

for the coaches there, along with the guys from "x-factor" there's actually believability that something good can come from the shows.
AI doesn't need freaking charlie sheen, it needs legitimate industry people that can actually help careers blossom.
AI is flailing a bit, in part, because so many of its winners, especially in recent years, haven't had much ongoing success.
