so, seriously asking - why not try for a shift in perspective about how you play rather than quitting?

i mean, sometimes all it takes is an email to everyone that says "hey, i think we've gotten too focussed on winning and too competitive. I think it would be a lot more fun for everyone, especially the newbies, if we just enjoyed the game and had fun with it."
if that is really how you feel, just try to make it happen. you don't have to quit, you just need to address the underlying issue, if that is it (you know better than me.)
