have merit because, according to SEC filings, Romney was the *sole* shareholder through 2002.
It's irrelevant if he managed the company or directed investments because he still reaped the benefit of those investments by virtue of being the only Bain shareholder.
Any profit made by Bain by sending jobs overseas or laying off employees of companies it invested in, or with the Stericycle investments all returned profit to Romney by virtue of his status as sole shareholder.
He can't hold the shares, reap the benefits and then say he shouldn't be held responsible for the company's activities.
