In response to "And right now, the state has very little ability to raise funds necessary to provide for the common good at large" by Will Hunting

Jacking up taxes on people already struggling to pay their mortgage doesn't sound smart in these "times of true need".


Capping the tax that can most directly separate people from their homes seems pretty smart, and not at all 'artificial'. Tax should be based on the value of what it's a tax on.
