We had it for a couple of years and, of course, it depends.

It is more expensive than a gym membership and it really depends if you're going to be have him involved in Y sports or not.
We ended up dropping it because our daughter started to play sports with other kids she knew, but from 3-5 she did a lot of Y sports and it was worth it.
Ours had an indoor pool and water slides and that is really the only thing that we miss from it. But it wasn't enough to justify the monthly cost.
