Many religious people want to prevent gay people from getting married. I want to allow gay people to be married. See how my belief is less restrictive than their belief AND doesn't require require anything at all from people who don't want to be in a same sex union?
The belief of some religious folks, if legislated, would require all people to conform whether they agree or not and no one could enter into a same sex marriage.
My belief, if legislated, would not require anyone who disagreed to conform. No one would be required to enter into a same sex marriage.
