Start from scratch and take out the whole lot of it.

And it wasn't just the carried interest part of the post. It's the entire thing. As long as people can't understand the tax code they'll think it's rigged against them. Implementing a simple tax would do wonders for the Democratic party as it takes a weapon from the GOP but they're too chicken to take on their own vested interests.
