There's usually some sort of limitation. Nightcrawler can only do line of sight (unless that changed), and the added suck of the smell of brimstone (and sulfur?). The guy from Jumper cold only go places he's been before, I think. And then made horrible use of his skill. I don't know of many other teleporters.
