Ack! I cannot get my Galaxy to download apps from Google Play and I can't figure out why! Help?!

Background: I have an Android tablet, so I already had a Google Play account when I bought the Galaxy. It used to be Android Market, but the account HAS been migrated to Play. I checked all the settings in my account, credit card still info is correct, email account good, etc. I just can't figure out why it won't work. Any ideas?
