So... (massive spoils - don't read!)

I am having mixed feelings about the movie. The action was great, and the actors were all good in their roles, but it felt more by-the-numbers than the earlier films. There's no "holy shit" moment like when the Joker killed Rachel Dawes.

I think it's partly to do with the scope of the villain's plot - a whole city held hostage for months - which we barely we except in a montage, a message from President William Devane and a few scenes of a kangaroo court. I think they could have done better to show what was at stake.

I also felt let down when Bane died. It was like he was discarded once the big bad was revealed and he was no longer necessary to the movie.

I mean, I enjoyed it and am still gathering my thoughts about it. But I can't give it an A.
