It's frankly spectacular, especially given how long it takes to get there. (spoiler?)

Firefly and Serenity always suffered, in my eyes, from the confined environment. Always on the ship, or some cheap space-cowboy town. The movie takes us from one locale to the next on a hunt to solve a mystery, a clever story no-less, but the pacing is relatively slow until... suddenly... BAM! SPACE WARS!
