I'm slightly annoyed, even though I'm happy enough that it kinda cancels out the annoyance.

I got a call from the pump rep today in CA, telling me that my endocrinologist in RI signed the papers so I can get the new pump. The rep also told me she found a way to get me 3 months of the blood monitoring sensors shipped for free, rather than the normal 1 month supply. So, that's awesome.

When I expressed my excitement at the fact the doctor signed the papers, she said, "Yeah, that's a funny story. I guess he signed them yesterday without thinking twice about it. He gave the papers to his receptionist to fax to us, and she was the one who decided she wouldn't send them until you made an appointment in RI. He knew nothing about it until this morning, when Joe went into the office to try and convince him to sign your papers, and the doctor said, "Uh, what? I signed those yesterday!""

I am really annoyed that the receptionist did that when the doctor okayed it. They've asked that I keep my appointment, but now I'm thinking I'll find a doc down here and cancel up there.

But - free, brand-y new (not refurbished!) pump! Yay!!
