i don't see a problem. if it's not about money, then why make it about money?

she wants that respect and to feel taken care of - obviously she can pay for her ticket, so it's a statement.
i guess if he doesn't like that, he should dump her. i don't see the big deal in a plane ticket when you're talking about paying for all meals, etc.
