I'm a big Lynch fan but that movie was odd and not in a good, Lynch way.

I don't need to see Sting in a pair of blue, winged plastic shorts. I keep hoping someone will take another crack at it with modern CGI and a different sensibility.
But I loved the first few books. I, like most every fan like you and I, have read them a few times.
