i mostly agree with you here ... my only reservation is that it's been redone a couple of times (not very well at that, in my opinion) ..

but if someone came along and did an excellent revisioning, i'd be okay with that .... and then follow up with other books from the Dune series ... so much great material there to draw from for a new franchise of movies ....
