I'm getting frustrated 'cause I'm not explaining myself very well, but bear with me for a second ...

I'm not really criticizing Gov. Palin directly. I have no problem with her -- or the campaign -- spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on wardrobes, accessories, makeup, or anything else for her or anyone in her family. Not at all.
What I am criticizing is a campaign apparatus that has spent the last several months trying to cast the opposition as a bunch of elitists who are out of touch with "real America," or worse, are abjectly un-American, a campaign apparatus that has gone out and done exactly what they've criticized the opposition for -- shopping at high-end department stores.
