I wonder if the time has come to collectively wind down our Ikariam play, if only maybe on Dot-Org.

I think many of us are still playing so as to not let down the others of us who are still playing. If we all quick collectively, it may be easier. Or we can seek out another solution for those who carry on, such as turning over the reigns to another alliance, so as to not abandon the noobs and the non-STers.
