Admittedly, I had forgotten I even posted in that thread. Heh. I think you're missing out though that the countries still aren't tracking...

..More leftward than rightward. In general, government spending outpaces inflation every year and that in and of itself has to hit a limit somewhere. The same way 2008 will be remembered as a the breaking point for consumer spending/private economic reckless spending, the government's year will be remembered one day when it finally comes home to roost and we all know that one day it will.

And I would argue that if anything, it better that the government doesn't fail vs. the private sector.
