I root for them as well but not as much as I do for my actual home country. :-)

Soccer is different since I grew up hearing about great Italian soccer players and great Italian teams. The games from Italy were on my TV every Sunday and my father would go to the local cafe or social club to watch the matches with his friends and would drag me along.
