It's not encouraging them to unsubscribe. It's encouraging them to get the news first. (Also re b2)

Less jobs is a dark side, but it's a choice between less jobs and no jobs.
And the jobs that are being reduced the most are the boring/dirty/smelly/unhealthy/dangerous ones, so there's a positive in leaving those to machines.
