In response to "ahh, a lovely morning at the Lake, raining but still nice, the birds are chirping...SWEET GENTLE JESUS!" by Mrs Beak

heh, that happens in camp every now and then. we have about a thousand zebra finches that hang around, and they've attracted a pair of kites.

I chase the kites off whenever they're hanging around, but every now and then there's a divebomb and a flurry of feathers, and one of the kites sitting on the ground tearing a finch apart. raptors gotta eat, I guess.
