oh my goodness, you have no idea. the two buses within eight blocks of home I can take for morning commute both have no service in summer.

last schoolyear, I caught at 8:10 a.m. bus a block away from my house and got to work at 8:28.
this summer, I can catch a 7:21 (that's always between 10 and 15 minutes late -- unless I am; then it's early) bus two blocks away and be at work at 8:35.
or I can walk 1.4 miles to catch a link bus (this is what I usually do) and control everything. but 1.4 miles in heels before 8 a.m. is brutal.
