My county library has lost me for good as a customer.

My daughter borrowed two books from our county library. She was admittedly a month or two late with those books. That comes to $10.00 in late fees - which I feel is outrageous in and of itself.
A month later they've actually taken me to a collection agency for her ten dollar debt. Which has increased to $40 because they've taken me to a collection agency, and they need to pay for it.
Of course, I couldn't pay online because even though I'm responsible for the late fees of my daughter, I can't pay for it through a credit card unless it's *signed* to her account.
I realize that libraries are tired of people not taking their late fees seriously, but this truly is ridiculous.
