Russia and Spain (there are several real hotties on team espanol) literally went down to the last second with Russia pulling out a 77-74 victory. Russia sucked in the first half and it looked like Spain would take it in a walk. I guess the Russian coach had a little chat about labor camps in Siberia because Russia exploded at the end of the 3rd. It was a nail biter ending, but basically Spain beat themselves with poor clock management. If you can catch a replay, the 4th period is great.
Personal note: I loved the fact that several of the USA men's team were there watching/scouting. Of course that little bitch Kobe couldn't be bothered. So I'm betting the medal round is going to be USA vs Russia for gold/silver and Spain vs tbd for the bronze.
*Surprised? I actually love basketball. I have for years. I don't think anyone but crash knew this. I figured I'd have to out myself one day, just as I did about being a nerd. *grin*
