for the Gold. The whole point is to win the Gold.
They just didn't think their rule changes through. Who ever voted on changing the rules should be kicked out.

And in gymnastics they should just change the rule from 24 athletes to keep the rule of 2 but for every athlete a power team has over 2 just increase the pool by that number. That would have ment 27 competing this year, and you still get the wider participation by the none power teams.
The thing is there are 64 young women in gymnastics anyway. They had that many in the heats of the 100m yesterday. They weeded them out pretty fast. :)
