THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND people showed up.
Fun day, but the autograph session was pandemonium. They barricaded off the middle of the field and then opened up the stands for the fans to come down onto the field. Thousands of fans surrounding the barricades while the players (some of them, most notably Moss (and Harbaugh) walked the inside signing autographs, and throwing out plastic 49er footballs as they autographed them. I gave up trying to get any autographs after about twenty minutes, it was just too crazy. And no offense to them, but I'm not dealing with that level of crazy for the third string TE's autograph; not that the bigger names weren't out there as well, but the areas they were signing in had people 10+ deep trying to score an autograph.
Of note though is that they didn't have any alumni out there, that I saw like they have in the past. I guess that's to be expected though when you have a roster of current players that brings the fans out.
