ST travel poll: without googling, how many miles will I travel on my upcoming road trip? -- (link)

Who wants to hear about my next road trip?

So I finally got furloughed. Normally it happens the last week of July. Didn't get the word until 10:15 Friday morning. I could be out a couple weeks, a month, or longer. We're usually back by Oct 1st but last year it wasn't until Nov 1st. Because of the uncertainty of furloughs, I had to plan my trip to Boston to happen right away. I spent almost all day yesterday finding hotel/motels along the route that had a room and didn't cost an arm & a leg (it being August and last minute). So... Day One (this Thursday): Covington to Cleveland (lunch at Sokolowski's University Inn - stuffed cabbage & pierogi!), then to Jamestown, NY (quick trip through the Lucy-Desi Comedy Center and then visit Lucy's grave), then to Falconer, NY for the night. Day Two: Drive to Bennington, VT (we wanted to go up to Burlington but there were no rooms anywhere due to some big triathalon event). Day Three: Spend the morning in Bennington (specific sites TBD but might include Robert Frost's grave and a museum with a bunch of Grandma Moses paintings), then drive to N. Conway, NH, partly via the Kancamangus Highway (one of the most scenic stretches of road anywhere). Day Four: Tool around the area (outlet shopping, maybe drive up to Mt Washington - but not up the Auto Road - my companion would freak out because of the drop-offs & no barriers), then drive down to Boston (technically, only to Saugus). Days Five thru Seven: TBD (but will include Rockport, Gloucester, Salem & Boston). Day Eight: Drive to Philadelphia (staying in Mt Laurel, NJ). Day Nine: Pick up our Philadelphia Pass and do lots of stuff (all for only $49! - this has to be the best city pass I've ever seen - we'll easily use it for things that, individually, would cost well over twice that). Day Ten: Drive to Pittsburgh to meet up with some Lesbian friends of my companion's, have lunch at Primanti's, then shopping at Market Square. Day Eleven: Drive home. If furlough continues into September, I'll be in Chicago around the 15th. I'm also thinking of a trip to Denver (not driving, though) to look up some relatives but that's very tentative right now.
