he's not simply a hapless dope paying all of his taxes he's required to.

he sees no need to change the tax code. I've yet to hear why he gets to pay a lower percentage on his income than I do other than "job creation". He's someone literally taking money from me by benefiting from society at a much greater rate than someone like me. If he does I want to know what societal benefit there is to this arrangement.
He's benefiting from a society I ironically contribute, by percentage, more than he does. To further the irony...when he needs the cops or the firefighters they'll be at his place a lot faster than they'll be at mine.
With yet more irony he seemingly wants to contribute even less by reducing programs that would help people not in his economic strata. That's what "entitlement reform" really is. It's reducing the government take, under the guise that there is waste and abuse(admittedly there is. There always is some) to enrich yourself.
What's galling is this idea that they're looking at the poor as taking advantage of the system when the tax code has been baked for a generation for them to do that very thing with capital gains rates and carried interest.
