No, he really wasn't. Bucholz was 17-7 with a 2.33 ERA (.06 behind). but ERA +, Clay was 187 vs 174.

Price was in the mix....

Hell, Roger Clemens 2005 where his ERA was .76 better than Dontrelle, .96 better than Chris Carpenter, and he wen 13 & 8....

and he didn't come close to the CY.
