If Braun is in the discussion, so are Wright, Votto, and Bourn.

All have a WAR the same as or better than Braun.
But I think it has to be McCutchen. He leads the NL in WAR, AVG, SLG, Runs(tied with Cabrera), total bases, OPS+, runs created, adjusted batting runs(and wins), times on base (tied with Wright), and a couple other situational-specific advanced(?) metrics. He's second in OBP (to Votto), OPS(Votto), hits(Cabrera), and offensive win%(Votto). And he's not far off the lead in some other categories.
A win by Braun would be due to overvaluing the HR and RBI.
