It's glitchy, freezes a bit often and is far from perfect.

But there hasn't been a game I've put more time into in the last, like, 10 years (besides WoW) than Fallout New Vegas. I even bought all the DLC (which you can now get all at once in the Ultimate Edition) I can't put my finger on preceisely why but it's just clicked with me (though I'm still hesitant to finish out the Legion storyline because they're bastards.)
