LIR - FWIW - our local Walmart gives quite a bit to our local food bank. As I mentioned B2 - it prolly varies by location - our local community is

pretty driven by 3 or 4 food bank places that are very assertive in getting food from all possible sources. (bread makers, pastry shops, restaurants, groceries, co-ops, farms and once a week a big truck comes from Grand Rapids with supplies from that major centralized donation center) I've helped to unload the truck when it comes - it's amazing the companies that donate their products.
