It might be too heavy to compete with the other cars.

I have a car that's rated higher than the AI cars but I still had a hard time winning the races. They were slower but so much lighter and it would take me too long to get up to speed with them.
I was easily 500 lbs heavier than the other cars and from what I could tell it was the only disadvantage I had against the AI.
You really need certain cars for certain tracks. One car isn't enough for each class.
