Jeter was down some the past two years, and he missed games last year. So far this year he has been healthy (as far as I can remember), and only his SLG is a notable improvement from last year, due to an increase in HRs. While a bit surprising, I think it is unfair to accuse him of doping. There could easily be other factors, and I suspect it's more to do with him being healthier than he has been the past few seasons.
