based on past years where the 1st 4 picks are 12th -- 9th place in the regular season, then the next 4 picks are the 1st round losers in seed order, the 9th-10th picks are the semifinal losers in seed order, and then finalist and champion

Similar to the way the NFL seeds for their draft and not taking into account those silly Consolation games that Yahoo does.
