time limitations. I think the design was obviously great. But I agree the final product wasn't super great...more like a B+. I would have liked to have seen what they could have done with more time, effort, etc. The fact that they were able to pull off that design though in the first episode says to me that those two guys are strong. The hooded creature design was a strong design too, probably equal to what won.
I think Joe was real. He was clearly unbalanced. I think they threw him on the show, knowing he was nutsy fagen but also knew he wouldn't last. I've known guys like that and it's real (and disturbing).
