Gunman, armed with a .45, put 3 bullets into his "former co-worker" then left. When confronted by police, he fired on them; "who returned fire, killing him."
"...some of the nine people who were injured may have been hit or grazed by police gunfire but that none of their injuries was life-threatening. "
