I didn't do any of the side events on Sunday so I'm just killing time with one of the guys I drove out with, and we just started playing Magic...duh. First we were using our sealed decks from the main tournament and then decided to try some of our own constructed decks.
We played a few games and as one went pretty long and our sides were established, I overheard someone I didn't know say "check out this deck, it's really cool," and they were talking about me. By the end of the game (which I won), there were 7-8 people around me and the other dude watching us play. I got asked a few questions about the deck, and what else was in it, and I found that very awesome as nothing like that had ever really happened to me.
the deck wasn't an original creation of mine (which is part of the appeal of the game to me, to try to create a competitive deck that I designed on my own rather than just copy the top decks from big tournaments), but it was a slightly tweaked version of an established deck. Still a cool feeling to have people watching us interested in the deck. :)
