This sums it up for me. It's not that we aren't special and unique (We most certainly are) but some think we have a monopoly on special and unique. (hsxtt.com)

"Dreams that are impossible everywhere else, can happen here" I'm sorry, but there is not a single dream that can ONLY happen in the US and not anywhere in the rest of the world. I don't mind "We're pretty damn good!", but the constant "We are better than everyone else" is annoying and insulting
