Books are charges 20 cents/day with a max of $10 per item. -- nm

Yeah, very few public libraries charge infinite overdues. They stop accruing pretty quickly and then it's just the value of the item that's billed. -- nm

That's what I was curious about because in this case the book was significantly more expensive than a normal book -- nm

But that's dropped when the book is returned. You only owe the value of the item if you *don't* return it. -- nm
