pitcher performance vs. pitcher responsibility.

He didn't give up an earned run through his pitching yet his atrocious negligence was the causality for the run.

So I'm inclined to agree that pitcher errors should lead to earned runs.

To a larger point, the pitcher was pouting and if I'm the team, he gets some discipline for his mistake.
