I wasn't able to be put under when I had my D&C a few years ago, as my blood sugar had dropped a few hours prior to the procedure and I had to eat. They didn't want to take the chance since I had something in my stomach, so they just gave me Versed. If I woke up during, I don't remember. :) And I woke up feeling very refreshed, no real grogginess.
