Now, forget about it.

That still ranks as my most upsetting day in my young career as a dad. I was a fucking basket case. I don't sob openly in hallways for seemingly no reason often. (I'm actually lucky it was 4 am and there were no other NICU parents nearby, because if they found out I was that upset because of some dumbass jaundice lamps, as opposed to their sub-2 lb baby that might not make the week, I can't guarantee I wouldn't have gotten punched in the balls.)
