but is Obama the only one responsible for setting these expectations? Or is it the political class opposed to him that has used his more general statements against him to craft these impossible expectations for him to live up to?

From what I've read so far, this latest issue is over a $900 tax lien regarding certain household employment taxes, that was resolved over three years ago.
