I guess the CNN opinion depends on what side you are looking from.

There's no such thing as a perfectly unbiased network, but I think CNN is within the tolerable range of acceptance (again, even if they are useless)
I can't comment on the story as I have not read anything about it yet and can't at the moment. If there is meat to it, then it should be reported by CNN, MSNBC, and all the rest of course.
