There are no laws suppressing or censoring anybody. A private organization calls for boycotts and points out biased coverage when they choose to. They do not in any way have the force or powers of government behind them. I don't know what these emails say, but to the extent that (as they are portrayed) these emails involve sharing of information between the DOJ and media matters and discussing strategy for Media Matters to use their first amendment rights to call out the reporting they don't like, it still is not in any way a state restriction or imposition on free speech.
