You have to have cleared funds in your Paypal account before you can pay anybody. -- nm

I've had to wait many times to pay on an ebay auction until I had money transferred into my account. -- nm

I've had a person "pay" for an auction using a "check" that later wasn't authorized.

Right, I do it straight from the bank account as well but some folks use the check thing. -- nm
